The Sweet-and-Sour Favorite
This easy whiskey sour recipe is perfectly balanced and so easy to make! Garnish with an orange or lemon peel and a cocktail cherry. The whiskey sour (a.k.a. bourbon sour) is a perfectly sweet tart, balanced whiskey drink that actually dates back to the 1870’s. It is a classic cocktail that’s on the list of International Bartender Association’s IBA official cocktails. Here’s what you’ll need for this classic sour cocktail:
2 oz. Left Bank bourbon
1.5 tablespoons maple syrup or simple syrup
1 oz. lemon juice
Another variation: Make the bourbon whiskey sour with honey syrup and becomes a Gold Rush!
